It is made with 2 layers of rock slab on either side of a high-density polymeric mass which is encapsulated in class 0 silver foil.

Having a polymeric high-density core significantly increases the overall acoustic performance by density and thickness when fitted onto the back of ceiling tiles on suspended ceiling systems as well as having an insulation value.

They are safe to handle and install being odourless, and the fibres encased. Encapsulated acoustic pads use rock slab of 45kgm3 or 60kgm3 with the core polymeric mass available in 3kgm2, 5kgm2, 7kgm2 and 10kgm2 densities.

Due to the weight of these pads, it is essential that the ceiling system is calculated correctly to carry the extra weight of the ceiling pads.
