Tecsound FT55 AL Acoustic Pipe Wrap

The Tecsound FT55 acoustic pipe wrap, is a flexible soundproofing membrane, designed for waste water and HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning) pipes. Combines a porous felt layer, Tecsound polymer and a reinforced aluminium foil.

Good to know

• When measuring your FT 55 AL allow 50mm for overlap
• It is advised to secure with cable ties around every 20cm
• Seal overlaps with aluminium foil tape
• If you are boxing in pipes and are using FT 55 AL, use a double layer of plasterboard filled with mineral wool
• For 50mm waste pipe , one roll can cover approximately 38m of 50mm pipework
• For 100mm waste pipe FT 55 AL can cover approximately 16.5m with an 85mm overlap.
