15mm British Gypsum Gyproc FireLine MR 3m x 1.2m (Tapered Edge)
Gyproc FireLine MR is a specialist plasterboard designed to provide a combination of enhanced fire resistance and improved moisture tolerance for internal building applications. Made with a dense gypsum core, this helps to slow the spread of fire, while added moisture-resistant properties make it suitable for areas exposed to high humidity. This board is available in 12.5mm and 15mm thicknesses, it's ideal for walls, partitions and ceilings where both fire protection and durability in damp-prone environments are needed.
Benefits
- Improved fire protection
- Moisture-resistant formulation
- Choice of thicknesses
- Smooth plaster-ready surface
- Versatile internal use
- Surface can be plastered, painted, papered or tiled
- Follow the standard dry-lining practices for cutting, fixing and joint finishing
Good to know
- Thickness affects behaviour, 15mm offers increased fire and acoustic performance
- Although moisture-resistant, the board should not be constantly in contact with water
- Correct joint sealing and fixing patterns will help to achieve the best results
- The board does not add structural strength, loads must be carried by the supporting frame
- Ensure the room has adequate ventilation to control overall moisture levels
- Fire resistance is achieved as part of a complete wall or ceiling build-up, not from the board alone
