12.5mm British Gypsum Gyproc Moisture Resistant 2.4m x 1.2m (Tapered Edge)

Gyproc Moisture Resistant Plasterboard is a lining board designed to cope with higher humidity and intermittent moisture exposure. It features a gypsum core formulated to resist the adverse effects of damp air better than standard plasterboard by helping to reduce swelling and degradation in areas prone to moisture. This board can be used in a range of applications such as bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms, with two thickness options available: 12.5mm and 15mm.

Benefits

  • Enhanced resistance to moisture
  • Thickness options
  • Surface can be plastered, painted, papered or lightly decorated
  • Versatile internal use
  • Follow the standard dry-lining practices for cutting, fixing and joint finishing
  • Helps reduce the risk of sagging, distortion and degradation

Good to know

  • Thickness affects behaviour, 15mm offers a firmer lining
  • Although moisture-resistant, the board should not be constantly in contact with water
  • Correct joint sealing and fixing patterns will help to achieve the best results
  • Ensure the room has adequate ventilation to control overall moisture levels
  • The board does not add structural strength, loads must be carried by the supporting frame
